In these 3 days of the Electronics Home, we have spoken with multiple owners of Home Houses, direct sales businesses and Retails from all over Argentina. Many of them are not taking advantage of the Internet in any way or very poorly and they tell us, eCommerce is NOT for me!
Our question would be: Why not? What things can the Internet offer to Retail? How can a traditional House take advantage of the WEB? Are there opportunities? Or are they only aimed at large Retails? I think so, there are many opportunities and advantages to take advantage of.
For a moment, let's think about the website where all the products we sell are presented: with information, photos and their measurements (which is often essential to define the purchase). That works perfectly on cell phones. Where we offer the possibility of the Now 12 and Now 18 plans, and we can define areas where we can make free deliveries. When they buy at the store, they get a Coupon with a percentage discount on their next online purchase. Where we can offer a “gift” for those who buy online (sometimes a little small, but it is the excuse for the promotion if you come to pick it up at the store). And by the way, when he comes to the place, he is always tempted with something else!
Through this same website, we could add all our clients and acquaintances to our Social Networks to inform them of new products, promotions, and combos. We could carry out raffles for special dates from these networks. This helps create loyalty and empathy with our customers. Not to mention that, in addition, new channels help to further expand knowledge of our business.
It would also be possible to offer discounts on some products if they are purchased for a certain quantity. Maybe products that we already want to liquidate and mobilize from our stock! Products that become real OFFERS, where the customer “sees” the benefit of buying it with Us!
All these actions think of eCommerce, Social Networks, and the WEB in general, as an INTEGRAL PART of our company, and not just as an isolated channel.
They help us get closer to our potential buyers. Buyers who evolve, have more possibilities and demands, and we must convert them into our “CUSTOMERS”, even before the purchase, and for that we must show them that we remain attentive to their needs and that we take care of them!
These are the things that companies that DO take advantage of eCommerce have already learned and show us the way! Because ultimately, these actions on the web help us sell more and better!
